Lempuyang Temple is located in the Karangasem Regency East of Bali. It is a long drive from popular tourists spots such as Seminyak and Kuta so you may want to consider staying a night in a local area such as Amed. There are many stairs, approximately 1700 or so, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Please note, this is a popular spot for tourists, especially those wanting to get a beautiful Instagram-worthy photo, so there can be long queues, especially at dawn when many people want to take advantage of the sunset and golden light. It is open from 7am to 7 pm for tourists, and there is an entrance fee of IDR 100,000 per person, and an optional fee of IDR 50,000 per person for a shuttle bus that takes you from the car park and takes you to the entrance of the temple.
